A consortium of Odisha-based startups has launched an Internet of Things-enabled loom prototype for rural weavers. Sensors measure parameters like thread tension, color changes, and pattern accuracy. Weavers receive real-time feedback via mobile apps. The pilot in Sambalpur aims to improve efficiency and reduce fabric defects. The model won national attention and is being tested for export-quality saree production. It exemplifies weaving tradition meeting Industry 4.0 innovation.
